Our selection includes new books of different genres – detectives and thrillers, sci-fi and action movies. One of the most anticipated books of the year “Clara and the Sun”, the author – a modern classic of English literature K. Ishiguro, his work is marked by the most prestigious literary awards.

Kazuo Ishiguro’s “Clara and the Sun”

К. Ishiguro occupies a special place in modern British literature. He started writing in 1981. In 40 years Ishiguro wrote only eight novels and short stories. But each of his works has become an event. Among his many literary awards are the most prestigious: the Nobel Prize (2017) and the Booker Prize (1989).

“Clara and the Sun” is the most anticipated novel of the year. The action is set in the future. The main character is an android. She is an artificial friend who looks forward to meeting her child. Clara becomes the friend of the dying girl Josie.

Stephen King’s “Later.”

The protagonist of S. King is Jamie Conklin. The boy has a gift – he sees dead people and can communicate with them. About his ability know only his mother and her friend who works for the police. There are certain rules about communicating with the dead. After death, they do not stay in our world for long – no more than 7 days. Also, they can’t lie and answer all of Jamie’s questions only the truth. But one day the boy will have to face a ghost who is capable of breaking the rules…

John Marrs “The Good Samaritan.”

Among the book novelizations of June 2021, check out this psychological thriller. Can an ordinary person stand up to a sociopath? Laura is seen by everyone as sweet and sympathetic. Lucy Foley’s “Guest List.”

Will and Jules decide to have their wedding on an island. The bride and groom are successful, young, and beautiful. And the guests are just as good – only a select few. But not all of those who smile and congratulate the newlyweds, sincerely wish them happiness. On this island, many secrets that have been carefully hidden will be revealed. David Baldacci “Signs”

Another gripping detective from D. Baldacci. Will is a liquidator. A master assassin working for the government. He once worked with Jessica Reel. But now something strange is happening. Jessica starts shooting off former colleagues. Only another professional can stop the professional. Will is assigned to eliminate Reel. He seeks not just to eliminate a former colleague, but also to understand what drove her to this confrontation.

Bernard Minier’s “The Valley.”

Martin Servas is a police officer. He is suspended from duty and spends all his time communicating with his son. The boy’s mother was kidnapped by a maniac eight years ago. Martin is not sure if the woman is still alive. But one phone call gives him hope. Marianne calls and tells him that she has managed to escape and that Martin must pick her up. The woman tells him about the place where she is. Servas knows the valley and sets out to find her. He does not find Marianne, but he discovers that there are victims of a serial killer in the valley. If he finds him, he finds Marianne.
